Thank you so much! You helped us reach £13,000 and bagged one of the discount early rewards into the bargain. Now we enter the middle of the campaign.
I didn't realise when I made the initial giant size broadsheet on the last campaign just how popular it would be. People who got the test printing online or at comic cons adored it, and wanted every issue that way. Hence this campaign, where I'll be adding the final numbers to that small initial order right after the surveys are completed. So look out for those surveys very soon.
The wheels are in progress behind the scenes. I've mainly been working on the final art and lettering, and preparing the print runs. I do some promotion or interviews every day too, and manage the campaign, which is tiring. So any help you can give to amplify the signal is doubly appreciated! Let me know what you do, if you post something or get a pal to back, and I'll put something extra in your package.
The middle of the campaign is the perfect time to let people know about this incredible book and its giant format. I've got posts you can boost on Monty Nero social media (or @montynero), or you can do your own. Every like, comment, and share helps put the Giant Size Cyberpunk trilogy in front of people I can't reach alone. Spreading our mutual love of cyberpunk is a win-win for everyone - here's the link to share. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/f02/giant-sized-cyberpunk-books-1-and-2
I've chatting with regular backers about the £20,000 stretch goal. It could be either a sturdy cyber bookmark, holographic or foil, very futuristic and cool in the Chrome Roses colours. Or it could be a new art print with some epic new visuals or a guest artist. Or it could be some extra content for one of the books. I always try to give people what they want, so feel free to vote for your choice.
TREKKER: I like to back talented writers and artists, and Ron Randall is both. He's got a rich history of comic creation for Marvel, DC, and Dark Horse among others, with highlights including Batman, X-men, Justice League, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run, Predator, Aliens, and The Warlord to name a few. He was wise enough to start his own series back in 1987, Trekker, which has been delighting a growing army of fans ever since.
In this new Trekker book, The Ties That Bind, Ron continues the adventures of Mercy St Clair. As the rebellion against the Galactic-ruling Council approaches its climax, Mercy stands alone against their greatest weapon - her deadliest foe!
The Council launches a surprise death stroke at the heart of the rebellion, spearheaded by Nal, the Council's ruthless assassin. As the scattered rebel forces race to counter the deadly blow, only Mercy St. Clair stands ready to face Nal in an explosive battle to decide the fate of the rebellion, and the course of humanity's future in the stars.
It's a compelling sci-fi drama dynamically rendered with Ron's unique style, so check out all the details here today.
Mike Shea also brings his own prolific vision to the comics medium, with his self-published series now on its 30th issue! Wow!
In this landmark issue - The Fraternity of Fear - his gang of teens take on Lovecraft monsters and their small-town high school...they're just not sure which is worse.
When school newspaper reporter Ricky investigates a recent spate of grave robberies, the clues lead him to a Miskatonic University fraternity. After going deep undercover and imbibing some mind-altering substances, Ricky starts to hallucinate that he’s a comic book superhero trapped in a den of vampires. Will Simon be able to set him straight or will Ricky reveal Simon as the brilliant mad villain we secretly suspected him of being all along?
It's high stakes in this full-sized comic, 24 pages and in color. Available in print or in digital PDF, with good value catch up levels too.
Get it here, and tell Mike I sent you.
All the best, and thanks again!
